What would you do to get on a popular TV show and a shot at fifteen minutes of fame (possibly longer I guess?). If you ask Michel Edwards, Vanessa Quinones, and Clem Clemmons, the answer would probably be disorderly conduct and inciting a riot. Apparently the auditions ended up in complete pandamonium, causing a stampede and panic as everyone clamored over each other. Pushing, fighting, stomping and trampling along the way.
As you might have guessed, the auditions were eventually canceled. This particular iteration of the show was important to the model wannabes because they were looking for shorter models, 5’7 and under, since these shorter counterparts typically have a much more difficult time breaking into the industry and finding a job as a model. They came up short this time, I guess (ha ha ha..)
Of course this is why I shy away from most reality TV anyway. If I wanted to see people at their worst, there are plenty of other ways to see it in reality instead of some contrived show that’s designed to engineer drama, rage, and heartache.
